Gigondas, Cuvée de la Tour Sarrazine, 2019

10 cases, 2 bottles
£14.58 per bottle

Tasting Note:

Again a deep but bright dark colour, like the Templiers, if slightly less opaque in the middle. Expansive warming red fruit tinged with garrigue and herbs, a hint of warm stone, sloe and kirsch add richness and dimension. Fascinating, generous and layered Gigondas. A perfectly aligned richness and freshness. Bold yet there is something so moreish about this. There is a clear muscle to the wine but this well-knit into the fruit. Concentrated, complex and balanced. A stunning effort. An unoaked blend of 70% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 15% Mourvedre from rocky, late-ripening parcels high up in the Dentelles de Montmirail.
