Tasting Note:
This wears the Mitjavile signature with a wonderful bouquet quite unlike anything else in Bordeaux; it’s so lavish and expressive, with notes of wild-flowers, damsons, sous bois and fragrant loganberries. Intense yet refined, texturally superb, very long, decadent but controlled with real intensity and focus. Utterly mouth-watering and rather too easy to drink, it finishes with bright goji and notes of bitter chocolate. The best Domaine de Cambes we’ve tasted. Superb!
"An enjoyable wine from the Francois Mitjavile Roc de Cambes stable, made with grapes planted just outside of Bourg. Enjoyable, well balanced and cheerfully unfussy wine with a highly attractive smoky edge from carefully delivered oak. This is good stuff, and no need to wait.
